Need more help?

How long does a Status stay up?

24 hours. After that it disappears on its own. You can also delete it sooner, and it goes for everyone who could see it.

Who can see my Status?

Only your friends. Each time you post, you choose to share with all your friends or only the friends you pick.

Can friends repost my Status?

Only if you turn on Allow reposts when you share it. A repost is marked as a repost.

What is the difference between a Snap and a Status?

A Snap goes straight to the friends you send it to and opens in your chat. A Status stays up for 24 hours for the friends you share it with.

Will I know if someone takes a screenshot?

On most phones, yes. When Gistmo can tell someone screenshotted your Snap or your Status, it lets you know. It cannot always tell, for example on the web or some older Android phones.
